Polish Language Olympiad
The Polish Language Olympiad is an initiative conceived jointly by the Polish Educational Society and the “Wspólnota Polska” Association. We have great pleasure to invite students of member Polish Saturday schools to participate. The aim of the event is to popularise and promote the Polish language among the children and youth of Polish Saturday schools.
Students from two age groups take part in three consecutive stages:
- 13-15 years old
- 16-18 years old
Students will undertake activities in three stages.
Stage 1: set dictation
This will be carried out by schools, the text being chosen to suit each year group.
Stage 2: reading comprehension test (online)
Students will write a paper that will check their knowledge of the text; both in terms of knowledge of words and idioms as well as searching for information, assessing its credibility and processing data contained in the text.
Stage 3: oral test
Students will give an oral presentation about two selected poems.
